Sarah began working at South Central Behavioral Services in 2007 as an outpatient therapist. She received her Master’s Degree in Community Counseling from UNK. Sarah started as Outpatient Program Director in 2016 and Rehab Service’s Program Director in Kearney in 2017. Sarah is a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP) and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC). Sarah is on the registered service provider list for probation.

Jamie has been working at South Central Behavioral Services since 2010. Jamie is a Certified Clinical Trauma Practitioner, using tools and skills to help people heal from trauma. She specializes in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) to help curb cravings for using substances and addressing trauma related issues. She also specializes in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy helping people with emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, distress tolerance, and mindfulness. She also is proficient in addressing Seeking Safety material to help people with relationship, trauma, and addiction issues. She has the following licenses in the state of Nebraska: Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP), Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC), and Certified Professional Counselor. She has a Master’s of Science in Clinical Psychology. Jamie is on the registered service provider list, which allows her to provide substance use and mental health services to adults and youth within the criminal justice system. Jamie also advocates for having local resources for rural areas and travels to Holdrege, Nebraska once a week to provide services.

Sara began working at SCBS in 2017. She grew up in Minden, NE and received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from UNO Grace Abbott School of Social Work. She is a Licensed Independent Mental Health Provider (LIMHP), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselor (LADC). She provides outpatient therapy for individuals with mental health and substance use disorders and is able to complete substance use evaluations. She is on the registered service provider list which allows her to provide substance use and mental health services to adults and youth within the criminal justice system. Sara specializes in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to address trauma, emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, distress tolerance, and mindfulness. She also has additional training as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) and provides Seeking Safety group therapy for women with a history of trauma and addiction.

Brianna is a graduate of the University of Nebraska at Omaha where she received her Master’s in Clinical Social Work. She began working for South Central Behavioral Services in September of 2016. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP) and Provisionally Licensed Alcohol and Drug counselor (PLADC). Brianna provides individual and family therapy for both mental health and substance use disorders. She also provides substance abuse evaluations, mental health assessments, and has training to provide Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). Brianna is on the registered service provider list, which allows her to provide substance use and mental health services to adults and youth within the criminal justice system.

Cristianne graduated from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 2014 and received a Master’s of Science in Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She began working at South Central Behavioral Services in July 2018. Cristianne is a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (LMHP) and a Provisionally Licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselor (PLADC). She currently provides outpatient therapy for individuals with mental health and substance use disorders. Cristianne is on the registered service provider list, which allows her to provide substance use and mental health services to adults and youth within the criminal justice system. Cristianne has experience working with individuals in crisis, is certified in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and has previous training and work experience as a Multi-Systemic Therapist (MST).

Kearney – Peer Support Specialist

 

Maria joined SCBS in October 2017. Maria received her certification for Peer Support Specialist in October 2019 and in December of 2021, she became a NAMI Connection Recovery Support Group Facilitator. As Peer Support, she supports clients on their journey of recovery (mental and substance). Maria also facilitates WHAM (Whole Health Action Management) with her clients as well as part of groups. She also is a Certified WRAP (Wellness Recovery Action Plan) facilitator. Maria is a certified SMART Recovery facilitator. She facilitates several groups for our client’s at KY OP and Unity House. Maria also works with client’s on an individual basis to ensure they are getting the most support from Peer Support.
