Children Services Program Director

 

Amy started working at SCBS in the Children’s Services program in 2001 as a Youth and Family Specialist. Later in 2008, Amy became the Program Director for the Children’s Services program. Amy grew up in Barnard, Missouri and graduated from Northwest Missouri State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Child and Family Studies. Amy is a certified Forte trainer and certified trainer, and coder, for Motivational Interviewing.

Sandra Harp

Youth & Family Specialist

 

Sandra began working for SCBS in the Children’s Services program in 2000 as the Resource Development Specialist. Sandra has experience as a foster and adoptive parent, a Family Support Worker, and a Parenting Time Supervisor. Sandra is a certified trainer for TIPS-MAPP as well as the one on one version, Deciding Together. Currently, Sandra works directly with foster families as a Youth and Family Specialist. Foster parents can be such an important piece in a birth family’s success and Sandra has the ability to coach them in this process.

Kim Harrenstein

Kim started working at SCBS in 2009 in Children’s Services program as a Youth and Family Specialist. Kim grew up in Grand Island, NE. Kim holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a minor in business from St. Martin’s University and a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. Kim has a passion for helping others especially children and families. This passion has led her to employment in the child welfare system.

Lupita Gallegos

Youth & Family Specialist

 

Lupita started working at SCBS in the Children’s Services program as a Youth and Family Specialist in May of 2018. Lupita grew up in Ord, Nebraska and attended the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Lupita received her Bachelor Degree in Family Studies with a minor in Social Work. Lupita works closely with foster parents to ensure a safe home for children who need a temporary home until they are able to achieve permanency. She is also fluent in English and Spanish.

Crystal Guia

Crystal is a Hastings native who began working for SCBS in 2017. She is a Hastings College graduate where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology. Crystal is also fluent in English and Spanish.
