Residential Care Staff
The Position
South Central Behavioral Services is currently seeking a Certified Medication Aid to work with adults in a homelike setting. Staff work with residents on daily routines, as well as medication administration. There is no “hands on care”. Record keeping includes daily progress notes and using an Electronic Medication Record (EMAR). The starting salary with an active Medication Aide Certification is $18.00 an hour, with a hiring bonus of $500 after 6 months of successful employment. Quarterly bonuses based on productivity and performance are also available. The ideal candidate would need to demonstrate one of the following: two years lived experience; two years direct care experience in a human service field; two years of training in a human service field or a bachelor’s degree or higher in psychology, sociology or related human service field, which is preferred. Direct Care Staff
The Position
South Central Behavioral Services (SCBS) currently has an opening for a Direct Care Staff in our Day Program at Unity House. A Direct Care Staff is someone who provides individualized treatment and recovery to help individuals with a severe and persistent mental illness and/or co-occurring disorder. The ideal candidate would assist individuals with setting goals and daily skill building while attending day program. You would participate in treatment team meetings to discuss and address the ongoing needs of the clients and are also responsible for completing daily documentation in our electronic health record. The starting salary range for this position is $38,000 to $42,000, which includes bonuses based on productivity and performance. Starting wage is contingent upon education and experience. A Bachelor’s Degree in human services is preferred, but we will consider individuals with experience in the field. Outpatient
Full-Time Registered (RN) Care Coordinator
The Position
South Central Behavioral Services (SCBS) currently has an opening for a RN Care Coordinator in our CCBHC program. A RN Care Coordinator will serve as the nurse care coordinator for people in our programs by providing professional psychiatric nursing services and care coordination to individuals with complex conditions (physical and behavioral health needs). The ideal candidate will be responsible for the care and treatment of these individuals in accordance with accepted nursing and medical standards as well as work closely with program staff to attend to the whole health needs of our clients. You would participate in treatment team meetings to discuss and address the ongoing needs of the clients and are also responsible for completing daily documentation in our electronic health record. The starting hourly range is contingent on experience and education, with additional bonuses based on productivity and performance. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and licensed to practice in the State of Nebraska is required; one year of experience in medical/surgical nursing with an additional year of experience in psychiatric nursing preferred. Outpatient Therapist
The Position
South Central Behavioral Services is currently seeking a full-time Therapist in our Kearney and Hastings Outpatient offices. Our Outpatient offices provide Mental Health, Substance Use and co-occurring services for Adults, Youth and Adolescents. As an Outpatient Therapist, you will be responsible for completing Mental Health and Substance Use assessments, providing individual and family therapy as well as facilitating group therapy. As an active member of the treatment team, you will collaborate with other providers such as probation, drug court, DHHS and other agencies involved in the client’s treatment needs. The annual pay range for this position is $45,000-$55,000, which includes bonuses on productivity and performance. With additional pay for on-call, there is also a $2000 hiring bonus after 6 months of employment. Student Loan repayment program is also available. PLMHP, LMHP or LIMHP licensure is required. As an agency that provides co-occurring services, additional substance use certification will be beneficial. Clinical Supervision for licensure is provided internally. Part-Time CCBHC Peer Support Specialist-Hastings
The Position
South Central Behavioral Services (SCBS) currently has an opening for a part-time Peer Support Specialist in our CCBHC program. A Peer Support Specialist is someone who has substance use and/or mental health lived experience and is in recovery. The ideal candidate would participate in the crisis program by providing informal peer support and outreach, work with members of the treatment team to enhance the service, and become certified in Wellness and Recovery Action Plan (WRAP), Wellness Health and Action Management (WHAM) and/or Smart Recovery and provide groups based on these evidenced based practices. You would participate in treatment team meetings to discuss and address the ongoing needs of the clients and are also responsible for completing daily documentation in our electronic health record. The starting hourly range for this position is $14-$16 per hour. Starting wage is contingent upon education and experience. A history of lived experience as a mental health and/or substance use consumer in recovery for a minimum of one year is required. Assertive Community Treatment (ACT)
Mental Health Therapist
The Position
South Central Behavioral Services is currently seeking a full-time Mental Health Therapist in our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program located in Hastings. Our ACT program provides Mental Health therapy and/or drug and alcohol counseling to adults with mental health or co-occurring disorders as part of a mobile and interdisciplinary clinical team. As a Mental Health Therapist, you would complete assessments, advocate for our clients, assist in providing skills for independent living and support those individuals to set goals and continue skill building. Being an active member of the treatment team, you would be in communication and collaboration with physical health providers as well as pharmacy providers. The annual pay range for this position is $45,000-$55,000, which includes bonuses on productivity and performance. With additional pay for on-call, there is also a $1500 hiring bonus after 6 months of employment. Student Loan repayment program is also available.
